Medennium receives the SBIR Phase II grant # 2R44EOl7796-02A1 from the U.S. NIH National Eye Institute for development of the single-piece aspheric Model 404 photochromic intraocular lens, a design modification of the parent Model 400 photochromic intraocular lens developed under the Phase I grant.

Medennium receives SBIR Phase I grant # 1R43EY017769-01A1 from the U.S. NIH National Eye Institute for development of the Aurium photochromic intraocular lens. This one year grant was used for product development, process development, and pre-clinical investigations for the Aurium Model 400 intraocular lens, the first photochromic intraocular lens. This grant led to the CE Mark registration and commercialization of this innovative lens design in over twenty countries outside the United States.

Medennium receives a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I grant from the U.S. National Institutes of Health National Eye Institute, Grant No. 1R43EY015976-01, SmartIOL Accommodative Intraocular Lens. This one year grant was used for prototype development and pre-clinical evaluation of the SmartIOL full-size accommodating intraocular lens.
